Business Formation
Entrepreneurs are idea people, for sure, but they also know that they need to take action! They look at the world from a whole different perspective. They don’t expect anything to be handed to them, are willing to take calculated risks, and they are willing to work hard. Sometimes, they come up with unique innovations and improvements to products and services, but most often they just know they can do better and are willing to work harder than the competition. We here at Woodoend Law are entrepreneurs, just like you. Gary F. Woodend not only has a law degree from Rutgers, but also has a bachelors degree in Economics and Finance from Lehigh University, and a Masters Degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Virginia’s MBA program. This makes us uniquely qualified to handle any business related questions you may have.
Entrepreneurs are often not certain which business form will be most beneficial for them. A sole proprietorship, Limited Liability Company, Limited Partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations or General Partnerships are some of the options. If you’re ready to form a start-up, but are unsure of how to organize your business to maximize profits and minimize future problems, talk to an experienced business law attorney. For more information, go to “Choosing a Business Structure.”

The process of establishing your business
- We consult with you on the appropriate type of business organization to form. Limited liability companies (LLCs) are becoming increasingly popular in New Jersey.
- We research your proposed business name to make sure it is available and not so similar to another business name that it will cause confusion with the public.
- We prepare the legal documents for you and submit them to the state on your behalf.
- We prepare the operating agreement.
- We obtain the tax identification number for you.
